This stone is also called Merlinite, which is a much cooler name. Some people say that dendritic opal is a little more opaque and dendritic agate is more translucent. The stone is really an opalized agate with dendrite inclusions, but it is not a true opal. Whatever you call it, it is freaking beautiful and I can never have enough!
