History
For those new members, I would like to introduce myself, James, and my boss babe wife Rachael! We are the husband/wife team behind Red Shield Cabs! The idea for launching this group was solely Rachael's idea! We thought it could be a great way for me to have a job while still being home with the (at the time, 1 ) kiddo!
I had been turning wrenches as a GM Tech for 15 years before the Pandemic that shall not be named reared its ugly face. We decided that it would be best for me to leave work and be home full time with our high risk kiddo. Leaving my work was an easy decision because family comes first! And I have so much faith in my amazing wife and her incredible drive to be successful at everything she wants! I knew we were in great hands! During this time, we knew we were also going to have another kiddo, and that after our kiddo was deemed no longer high risk, it would be hard for me to get a job that I may potentially leave again so soon after starting to be home with them. (And have another we did! Nearly 4 years ago! I can't believe how fast it has gone! Without the support of our amazing members in our Facebook Group, I would not have been able to be home and bear witness to all of the milestones he's been crushing!)
Thus began Red Shield Cabs! I am a hobbyist photographer, so all of the photos you all get on here of our lovely stones come from me! It was definitely something I was nervously excited about! Having never shot anything that small, I knew it was going to be a challenge capturing the beauty of them for you all to appreciate!
Rachael is amazing at sourcing the most incredible stones! She was a collector long before the idea of this group even began! I lean on her for all of her ever-growing stone expertise! Sometimes it's hard to project just how excited we are about the stones we drop! We love to use video clips on all of our socials as a way for me to showcase these beauties even more! I figured, with all of these gorgeous stones that Rachael collects for you all, they just deserve a little extra spotlight before they find their new forever home! New Reels every week!
We love seeing what you all create with the beauties you collect from us! We also love seeing the collections you all have! I have received great pictures of the way some of you showcase these amazing stones! So keep creating, and keep sharing with us all! Who knows what might inspire someone else to jump out of their comfort zone and show off their amazing creations! We will be periodically updating our Customer Showcase section with new pictures showing just a taste of what can be done with our gorgeous stones!
